Wound healing is a complex process. With a large staff of technical experts, Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is poised to assist companies in the research and development of wound care technology, using multidisciplinary teams. This expertise, combined with the other technical areas in the center, have positioned SwRI to address all of the aspects of wound care.

  • Wound status monitoring

  • Negative pressure therapy

  • Healing stimulation (ultrasound, RF, electrical, etc.)

  • Controlled release materials

  • Debridement tools and methods

  • Dressings and negative pressure manifolds

  • Needles and microneedles

  • Tissue scaffolds

  • Predictive modeling algorithms
