Lorraine G. Scheller, Manager

Technical strengths in the section include:

  • Analytical methods development for drugs and pesticides and their metabolites in tissues and biological fluids

  • Analytical methods development for the measurement of pesticides and their metabolites in air, dust, water, dermal and surface wipes, dosimeter garments, and others

  • Validation of analytical methods according to Good Laboratory Practices protocols in support of pesticide registration or clinical pharmaceutical investigations

  • Formulation and preformulation evaluations, pharmacokinetics, and adsorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) studies

  • Study design for the assessment of exposure to pesticides and other chemical pollutants

  • Product chemistry assays, pesticide residue determination, dislodgeable residue, re-entry exposure monitoring, and environmental fate studies

  • Analytical services in support of nutrition labeling under the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act

  • Analytical methods development and routine testing for energetic residues in water, soil, biota, and other media

  • Detecting Chemical Contaminants and Residues in Food

  • Acrylamide testing
