| Acoustic Design--Compressor/Pumps |
 |
| Reciprocating compressors and pumps create pressure pulsations in the flow stream. These pulsations can cause the compressor or pump and the attached piping system to shake or vibrate, which can cause system components to eventually crack or break due to metal fatigue. These pulsations may also reduce overall system performance. "Acoustic design" refers to the analysis of these pressure pulsations in compressors and pump installations. Based on the analysis, we can design a filtration system that will eliminate the pressure pulsations, thus maximizing system performance and minimizing the likelihood of catastrophic cracks or breaks in the system. |
